Swim Coaching Staff
Christina Precious is returning for her second summer as our head swim coach. Coach Christina was assistant coach at the WST for two years prior to moving up to the head coach position. She began swimming when she was just 7 years old and swam for the WST and Glen Oaks swim teams. She later became a USA swimmer with the Louisville Tarpons for 7 years and also swam for Ballard High School where she was a regional and state qualifier. She graduates in May from UK with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Coach Christina looks forward to returning to one of her favorite swim teams. She is very excited to work with WST swimmers in developing their strokes and their love for swimming.
Lucy Kramer returns to the WST for her second summer as our head assistant coach. She began her swim career at age 7 as a summer league swimmer, continuing on as a USA swimmer through the Carmel Swim Club for 13 years and is now on a swim scholarship at the University of Louisville. She will be a senior majoring in Public Health. Lucy is looking forward to being back at the WST as part of our swim coaching staff.
Aaron Young will be joining the WST for his first year as an assistant coach. He began swimming competitively when he was 10 years old and swam as a USA swimmer in his home state of Oregon for 8 years before coming to swim at the University of Louisville. He recently finished his senior year with the University of Louisville swim team. He will return to school in the fall to finish his degree in Biology. Aaron looks forward to getting to know the WST swim team and sharing his love of swimming as part of the coaching staff.
Dive Coaching Staff
Woody Franklin is returning in 2014 as head dive coach. Coach Woody has been a diver and coach for over three decades in addition to working in media and public relations for collegiate and Olympic sports programs. He is married with two girls aged 8 and 9. Woody has also been head diving coach at Colorado College and the University of Louisville. He holds coaching certifications from USA Diving and the AAU, is a FINA certified judge, and an official for the Kentucky High School Athletic Association. Woody has a B.A. in Economics and a M.Ed. with a specialization in Sports Administration from the University of Louisville. He has a B.A. in Economics and a M.Ed. with a specialization in Sports Administration from the University of Louisville. He served as Media Relations Manager for Diving at the Atlanta Olympic Games
